Blog 8 - Wednesday, October 12, 2016

There will only be ONE (1) blog this week!

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, we need to remember to be thankful for what we have and thankful for who we are surrounded by.

For this blog, take a selfie with someone you feel deserves a BIG THANK YOU!
E-mail the picture to gkatz@lbpearson.ca

Don't forget to write your explanation on this blog site!

Have fun.

  1. I think my parents deserve a big thank you because they have been there for me all my life. They have helped me read, help me do my homework, they would even help me shower, etc... It's not just my parents that deserve a big thanks also my friend in elemantry school because when ever I was in trouble he would always be there for me. But now he is gone so I wish I can make another friend like him.

    Thanks for reading

    1. I agree with your choice on your parents. They truly are the most important person to thank.

    1. Jason and Colin are very nice friends. I liked how you added your family in the blog even though you didn't take a selfie with them. Great blog!

  3. i am thankful for having food on the table everyday. In some places in the world people don't have the privilege to be able to have food to eat. I am also grateful to have a family that loves me. I am thankful for so many things like shelter and friends and family. I took a selfie with my dad because he is always there for me when i need someone. I would have also done it with my mom

  4. I am thankful to have a roof over my head. I am also thankful for my education and the food that I get. I am thankful to have clean water come out of a tap whenever I am thirsty. To have a family who loves and cares about me. Friends that are always there when I need them. I can go on forever about things I am thankful for. I am very thankful for the people out there who go to war for us. They die for us and get shot and seriously hurt for us. While they are doing that, we are just sitting here like nothing is happening. That is why I am super thankful for them.

  5. I think my parents are the one who really deserve a huge thank you for putting a roof over my head and taking care of me no matter how much of a brat I was. I love them with all my heart and I know they love me the same way. I feel that I never hating them or wish I never met them I am so happy I have them in my life. I could never thank anyone as much as I thank them. They are the best parents I could ever wish for. There is other people I would like to thank but I think they have really stolen my heart in loving them.

  6. I took a selfie with my mom because throughout the summer and last year she has helped so much. With my situations with friends, education and other problems. Over the summer she helped come up with ideas for activities. Whenever she sees that I am upset she will always crack up with a joke that can constantly make me smile! She has done so much in my 12 years of life and I think that deserves a good pat on the back and a big thank you!

  7. I'm going to thank my parents for bringing me into this world and for getting me through 12 years of my life thus far. Thank you for getting me halfway through school, and helping me in tough situations, helping me get friends, helping me play games, helping me to read, write and many more. And best of all, loving me through all the trouble I've caused them in the 12 years of my existence. I will send a selfie later tonight.

  9. I am thankful for my brothers who always remind me that being stressed out about school or what not is not the answer. They have always been there to distract me when I am caught up with work and stress. They help me improve my hockey skills, patience and all together happiness. Huge thanks to my brothers Ben and David and the rest of my family for always being there.

  10. I’m thankful for everyone that is in my life, but the one person that really stands out to me is Farrah. Of course there’s my parents, siblings etc., but Farrah is the one that really stands out to me. We have been friends for the longest time and to be honest I don think I would be the same person I am today. She has helped me grow in so many good ways, that it would be a crime not to say that I am very thankful for Farrah. (P.S. Shout out to Patsu, Turxia, Patty, and Petunia!)

  11. For this blog, it was a pretty easy decision for me. Yes, you know it. My parents!:) Yes, it may sound a bit cheesy but they are the stars in my sky. They are there when times are rough. They are there when I am in trouble. They are even there to tuck my in at night(sometimes). What I’m trying to put together for you is that they are always there for me. At times, we get mad at each other. But they apologize right away to me and then I apologize back. I hope that one day I can grow up just like them and try to treat my kids the same way they treat me. I love you guys!

  14. I'm thankful for both my parents very much but they are divorced so i only got to take a pic with my mom. I am very thankful for my mom and dad because without not only would I not be here. I would never have had a great wonderful family who cares so much about me. I love my parents so much that i don't think that there is anyone in the world i would give more thanks to.

  15. Who am I thankful for? This might seem odd but I'm thankful for my dog Ruby. I was originally going to write about my cat Ginger Snap but he doesn't do anything besides being adorable. Ruby deserves a great big thank you. She is a large Rottweiler German Shepherd. I like to consider her my Nanny. She takes care of me. When strangers come near she stands in front of me and does anything she can to keep me safe whether that being by barking very loudly or shoving me to the other side of the street. While I'm home alone she sticks with me wherever I go. Finally she cheers me up while I'm feeling blue. She is super sweet, kind, and always has my back.Thank you so much Ruby I love you.

  16. I am thankful for everything I have. Healthy life, more than enough food, loving family and even a playstation! And much, much more. It is so amazing that I was born and to be so privilege is more than i ever could of wished for. Of course, I still complain. Everyone complains! Even if they have an extraordinary life! “Oh, I didn't get the new Iphone!”or “I don't want to fill the dishwasher!” We all do it. Even if some families would do anything to even have a dishwasher. Or dishes for that matter! ! am so lucky to have parents that support me and have gifts on Christmas and my birthday!

We have a had so many fun times together, and we have made so many amazing memories together. Love you @Alexandra!

  18. i am very thankful for my two parents who brought me into this world and formed me into the person i am today. they help me through all ups and down and they always have my back...I wouldn't have missed out on so many opportunities if it weren't for my parents. Although i don't always agree with their decisions... at the end of the day they are just doing their best to try and protect and help me make the right choices. ❤️themmmmm

  19. I am very thankful for my favorite cousin, Allie. All my cousins are way older than me, and I'm always left out at family events or dinners. But my cousin Allie was always playing with me or making jokes so that I wasn't bored. She lives in New York which sucks because I could only see her once a year, but when I do it's definitely worth it :)

  20. I think my mom should receive a big thanks because she does so much for me. I’m so thankful for the time she spends on the wonderful dinners she makes, not just warm up food.I’m so thankful that she drives me to school on time giving me time to take things slow, not rush to class. I’m also so so thankful for her especially accepting me for who I am and the things that I do because I know moms that aren’t like that and I know people that live unaccepted.

  23. I am especially thankful for my dad because he is always available to bring me to my hockey games, and is always there when I need him. He buys me a lot of stuff and spends a lot of time with me. For example today he spent the whole day with me by driving me to my hockey game and my friends and I to the mall.

But also we have a lot of fun shopping together we laugh and we also usually push each other for fun. With out my mom life wouldn't be the same to me.
