If you could compete in the winter or summer Olympic games, which sport would you compete in?

Why would you compete in that sport?  Would you win?

  1. If I were to compete in a winter sport it would have to be basketball. You might think that basketball isnt a winter sport but there thinking of adding it, if you think of it, basketball is played inside from october to march so it is played during the winter. I would compete in that because I love to play basketball. If I had a strong team yes I would win.

  2. If I were to compete in the Olympics I guess most of you would guess running and you absolutely right😂. That is one of the most joyful things in the world for me. I would really like to become a professional athlete And preferably in running but I love sports in general. I would compete in this sport because obviously it's one of my favourite things to do in the world, and because I want to become that girl that's on your tv that you say to yourself wow I want to be just like her. I want to prove to the world that girls can do anything and that they should be looked at just as strong and equal as boys are looked at. I train a lot wether it's working out, jogs or power skating (which I know has nothing to do with the sport, but it is a tremendous workout for you legs and it's great cardio) I think if I keep up the training and grades, I hope I will go far and get into this career. If I succeed and become a pro runner I think I have the drive, momentum and physics to win.
    Thanks for reading

  3. I would definitely compete in the summer Olympics. Summer Olympics all the way! So, my sport. I would play basketball. First of all, it is my favourite sport. I watch so many games and follow the NBA by checking the website NBA.com. Second of all, it is the sport that I am best at. I wouldn't say I am amazing (I'm actually pretty good) but I would say I'd have a pretty good chance of winning the Olympics. If I am on a good team with a lot of chemistry, I think my team can win. I always dreamt of being in the Olympics. Maybe I can be one of those lucky (and skillful) kids to make the Olympics.

  4. My dream is definitely to compete in summer olympics. When the olympics come on tv I do not let anyone in my house change the channel for the whole duration of the games. It would be pretty tough to choose one sport. I really like soccer and gymnastics. I used to do gymnastics at an actual gym but now i just do it outside on my trampoline...down the street:)... and in the house (where I'm not actually supposed to be flipping around...REBELLL ikik) I am very flexible and I love moving around and dancing so this is a perfect sport for me. I would also want to be in soccer because as you probably know I am in competitive soccer and I am absolutely in love with it. I like working as a team and having people to count on ad I find it pretty neat that you can use your feet to kick a ball and run at the same time and you are barely aloud to use your hands ( except for goalies and throw ins) Going to the olympics sound like a lot of work and training...which I am defiantly willing to commit to. But I guess we'll never know if I will make it until a couple years from now...

  6. I would be competing in the summer Olympics, for Equestrian Jumping as my sport to be. After all, I do actually do it. I would be doing this because I have dedicated so much time and effort into this sport so it makes sense that I would be doing this in the end. Winning the Olympics? If I stay concentrated and focused on the goal, there is a chance I might be found in the top 3.

  7. it would either be soccer in the summer or skiing in the winter yes i play soccer intensely and it is definitely my favorite sport but i also love to ski. i ski every winter when i visit my cousins, they all ski competitively and i have competed against all three (and i won ). the only reason i dont ski is because it is very expensive and my parents already pay a lot for soccer so....... but im not sure i would win any of the competitions it would be amazing to do so but honestly i would just do it for the fun of it.

  8. I would pick summer Olympics because they have gymnastics. I would choose this sport because I have been doing gymnastics for the past 9 years. I love to do gymnastics and not to be selfish but I do think I would win or maybe get in the top 3. But I wouldn't just compete to win I would also do it for amusement for me doing gymnastics is a pleasure.

  9. I think that I would do any form of martial arts...
I do kung-fu and am really good at it. I would possibly also do things from track and field like Javlin or hurdles/running. Although I am very short for my age but I am still kind of fast at running and I have strong arm strength. I always get top 3 in hurdles at track and field and I would like to try a real discus.

  10. If I had to make a top 3 choices, it would be Taekwondo, Javelin and Long jump. These would be the sports I would play in the Summer Olympic Games. I chose Taekwondo because I do Taekwondo and In am almost at the highest level. (Red belt with 1 black stripe) I would choose long jump because i am pretty tall compared to others in grade 7 and i played it in track and field at my elementary school. Finally Javelin is also in my top three choices because i loved to do it in elementary and its fun to throw things y'know? Would i win? If it is against pro Olympians? Not in a Quintilian years!

  11. If I was in the Olympics for anything, I would probably be in running. I don't really show that I am a runner because I like doing it on my own or with my cousin. We are both very fast. I am pretty sure she is faster than me though. I was in the top 20 fastest people in the whole school when I was in 3rd grade. I would definitely not win.

  12. I would, without a doubt, choose hockey. It would be soooo cool to be on a team with so many famous and amazing NHL hockey players. It's my dream to some day be able to play in some type of hockey league that would be aired on live television. I think I would play so much better with the support of billions of people watching me.

  13. I would probably not join the olympic games because I don't think I can take that kind of embarrassment, stress or defeat. but if I had enough courage, I would probably choose Badminton. I've been practicing for over 2 years and I'm pretty good. I got 2nd place in elementary school in a Badminton competition. And that was in grade 5. I lost to a grade 6 student. I probably would not win an olympic event because I'd be going against people who've been paling all their life.

  14. If I was to do a olympic sport it would be many sports swimming, skiing, rifle skiing or even just soccer or basketball. But soccer and basketball are not my best sports. I am really good and skiing using rifles or crossbows or even a bow (I have used those weapons before.) I am also good in snowboarding, swimming (Without sean because he will probably drown me with bricks.) I think swimming would be a good choice because I have done it for at lease 4 years, Skiing would do good because I loved skiing I have done skiing for 6 years. Snowboarding I have done for 1 year only.

Thank you for reading and bye

  15. Now, we all know that the Olympics are no joke. If your dreams are to become an Olympic athlete, you have to really commit. Waking up at 5:00am, get ready for practice at 5:30am, and not leaving until 9:00-11:00pm, unless of course you have a SEVERE injury. If I were to compete in the Olympics, I would compete as figure skater. I’ve been doing figure skating now for about 6-7 years now, and to be honest I don’t think I could EVER stop. Oh, and there’s that part where it’s practically my life. Everything I do revolves around it, and when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING!!!! When my friends ask me to come hang out with them on the weekends it doesn’t always happen, unless of course they are able to do it after my skating. Oh and just to mention you have to be able to do a Triple(jump in air, do three rotations, and land.) to qualify for the Olympics. If you want to impress the judges you can try to do a Quad(same thing as Triple, instead of three rotations, you do four.), but you will most likely fail because this is one of the hardest rotation jumps. I mean, you try jumping 26 inch., MINIMUM, in the air doing FOUR rotations, not as easy as it looks people(!!!), and landing. Yah, that’s what I thought! I do not think I would win a medal, mostly because it is VERY hard. I mean to be honest, if I went to the Olympics, I’d be happy enough to even qualify. Of course I’d be happy to get a medal, but knowing me, I’d be bawling just for getting in.

  16. If I were to compete in the Olympics I would probably be a soccer player, because soccer has been a passion for me and I always wanted to become a professional one. I play Intercity AA and I made it to Quebec Regionals which means the best of Lac St.Louis so I have worked so hard to complete my dream and I really wish I could get a scholarship to become a soccer player and to complete my dream but of course to be on TV. Most of all it is just to have fun and win. I think I will win out of all the great soccer players there are out there most of all I will have some excellent ones with me!!

  17. If I were to compete in a sport it would be either swimming or hockey. If I were to compete in my best performing sport it would be swimming. I do not enjoy it as much as I used to (I swam competitively for DDO for about four and a half years before I quit to play hockey). I have much more experience in swimming than hockey. I would most definitely loose though. Put me in a competition against Penny Oleksiak, Missy Franklin or anyone who came the slightest bit close to a better level than me, I will lose very, very badly.

If I were to play a sport that I really enjoy, it would be hockey. I have only been playing hockey for two months (that's why I sort of suck), but I am having so much fun. I am learning so quickly and I am more proud of myself than ever. I play with the most amazing team anyone could imagine and I am so grateful for my team. If you were to put me on the national Canadian team (Women's team of course), I can tell you this much, I would be the puck in every game. That's a real shame tough because the team would always be short one winger and that would give the centre men a really tough time attacking and getting it out of the zone. So basically I think we would lose but there is no telling because it is a team sport and I would not be on the ice every shift.
If I were to make the decision myself...I would probably end up watching these sports be played from the comfort of my own living room.

  18. If I were in the winter Olympics, I would do the sport skeleton. A lot of people tell me it is a dangerous sport, and I know that, but remember 2 things; 1: you can’t crush a kids dream, 2: I can be a little bit of a daredevil myself. I like the sport because it’s like luge, but head first and I like to see what is in front of me. I also like the fact that you speed all around the place. Plus the host on the Amazing Race Canada won a gold medal in men’s skeleton in 2010 and the Amazing Race Canada is one of my favorite shows.

  19. I am not an athletic person. I don't do sports. I'm the type of person that spends there time watching Shane Dawson. If I had to chose a sport for the Olympics I'd try snowboarding. I can snowboard (barely) but the Olympians spend countless hours a day training and getting better. so if i just spend the time i take watching Shane Dawson and replace it with snowboarding i could be a pro. Id need a solid 10 years before the Olympics. But Id do it if i had the chance to. I would not win but maybe bronze at the least.

  20. I would be the summer Olympics for synchro. I would do synchro because I already synchro in summer. At westpark pool in Dollard I'm on the senior synchro team. I think if I practiced day and night for the rest of my life I could truly go to the Olympics. I'm not sure that I would win but I know I would have a least tried my best. Also if I were lucky being in the top 10.

  21. If I were to compete in the winter Olympics. Obviously, without a dought I would choose hockey. I believe that hockey is Canada's most popular sport, and one of my many favorite. It would be an honor to play in from of millions of people that spent hundreds of dollars to watch me and my team play. Although I am pretty good at hockey, I do not think that at my age, I have a chance to win againsed someone who dedicated there whole life to hockey. Maybe in the future!

  23. I am definitely not a sporty person. I don’t like playing or watching any sport, except if it’s for the Olympics. Winter and summer, but I I had to compete in the winter Olympics, I would either choose skiing or snowboarding. I have been skiing since I was young with my dad, but I never really stayed in lessons for the whole session, I’m a pretty bad skier to this day. I’ve never snowboarded, and for a while I told myself I would never try snowboarding or skateboarding because I’m scared of getting hurt, but I changed my attitude and now for some reason, the thing I most want to try this winter is snowboarding. But if I were to go to the winter Olympics tomorrow, then I would do skiing.

  24. If I were to compete in the summer Olympics I would probably be on the soccer team because I do play soccer right now at a kind of high level. But if it were the winter Olympics I would be on the hockey team because I also play hockey at a high level. If I were actually on a team in the Olympics we would probably lose every game because I do not do well under pressure and I would mess it up for everyone.

  25. If I were to compete in the summer or winter games I would compete in the winter for hockey and win gold with my team, if I had realistic goals but in reality I would screw up miss the game winning goal get hurt and pass the team the puck because come on who hasn't done that... Certainly not me. (wink)
