I think that my favorite holiday movie will be the Grinch who stole Christmas because it is just telling us that Christmas isn't only about presents it is about the birth of Jesus and getting together as a family and some people don't know that yet if you think Christmas is all about presents than you should watch this movie. I think this movie is a holiday tradition because we watched it with the family every Christmas day. I like a lot of other movies but this one is the one that really describes the true meaning of Christmas and how it is supposed to be. Some kids don't have what we have and if you keep on spoiling yourself and asking for so many gifts for Christmas then go back and think of the kids who have little money and can't even get a doll. That's the true meaning of CHRISTMAS!!
I agree with you I LOVE movies that show us the true meaning of Christmas and that its not about gifts but from you heart and it's about family and friends as well great blog
I agree about not being spoiled and that you should think of the less fortunate great bloggg!! If you want to hear my opininon about that movie you can read my blog lol
I don't watch many Christmas movies much anymore because they are usually for younger kids (Because im a mature and cool teenager) One movie I really enjoyed is Home Alone 1 and 2. (And no, I did not write this because it was in the description of the blog) I last watched them a few years ago but I remember really enjoying them. Do I have any holiday traditions? yeah, I would say so. Usually every year my family goes on a trip somewhere for the holidays, but this year we wanted to spend Christmas eve and diner with the other member of the family such as cousins and grandparents. But I don't have any super cool (or weird) traditions like and eggnog drinking contest or something.
I LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME. We all know that there is no Christmas without the classic movies and and music, that all ways makes me feel festive. A traditional movie that we HAVE to whatch as a family by my dad is a movie called the polar express. It's a movie about a boy that goes on a magical train to go to the North Pole and see Santa Clause. I wouldn't say it's my absolute favourite though it's very good. I know it sounds kind of corny but my favourites are the Christmas classics in cartoon version, such as roudolph the red nose raindeer, frosty the snowman, etc etc. I love all Christmas movies except the ones that don't leave me with the feeling the true meaning of Christmas such ad bad santa, no offence to people who's favourite Christmas movie is that because everyone is different. A tradition we have is to read a night before Christmas on Christmas Eve with hot chocolate and to read elf on shelf after we put our Christmas tree up. We have multiple traditions anoughter one including have a wild fun and crazy Christmas party with most of the family, although every year it seems to be different as ALOT of people very close to my heart have passed away. But we also get some new additions to the family as well. I HOPE ALL OF YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY THIS YEAR! Comment below
I think my favorite Christmas movie was a Christmas Story. I just love the fact that the kid named Ralphie wants a BB gun for Christmas and his mom doesn't want him to. I find it hilarious that Ralphie's mother tells him he will shoot his eye out with it, and he still gets it. After he gets it, he SHOOTS hi EYE OUT and loses his glasses (breaks them) and comes up with the greatest lie, "An icicle fell on my face". Maybe I should do that for Christmas. Pretend an icicle fell on my FACE! My dad also thinks I look like Ralphie.
"I like smiling, smilings my favorite" Elf is definitely my favorite Christmas movie. When I was little I acted a lot like buddy the elf we are both loud, annoying, clueless, joyful, optimistic and believe candy is one of the main food groups. Every year I watch Elf near Christmas and every year it makes me laugh and feel happy. I rate it 5/5 and recommend it.
I love Christmas movies! I look forward to watching them every year. There are so many of them that I love but my favourite by far is “Christmas with The Kranks”. I watched this for the first time with my mom and my sister, and immediately fell in love! It is about a family with one teenage daughter. Their daughter Blair moves away and says she won’t be home for Christmas, so the father convinced the mother to skip Christmas and go on a cruise. Christmas is so special to this family, its indescribable. Their plan seems great until they hear that Blair is coming home for Christmas. They never told her about the cruise because she would kill them if she heard they weren’t celebrating Christmas. They end up trying to set up a Christmas party for Blair, but they only had a certain amount of time. Go watch the movie and find out more!
I am not a big fan of Christmas movies. But...... if I had to choose 1 it would be Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. It is so good and plus it is not that long. If I am not right about some of the stuff I am about to say, I haven't watched the movie in a very long time. I am pretty sure that there is a snowman talking in some parts of the film and I am pretty sure it is Frost the Snowman. And plus, Rudolph is so adorable in the film. Comment down below if you are a Rudolph lover!
My favorite Christmas special is one of the classics. Yup I'm talking about How The Grinch Stole Christmas. I love that movie so so so so much! I used and still do watch it at least 3 times every year! I love it but I don't know why... Maybe because it shows how anybody can be nice or maybe it's just showing a green guy who steals presents... Anyway I love that movie! We call my mom the Grinch because she doesn't like Christmas just because people go nuts to buy stuff and she doesn't like getting up
I am not the biggest fan of Christmas movies but if I had to pick the best one out of them all would be... Elf. I have loved it ever since I was a little kid. It has great actors in it like Will Ferrell. I love how a person who doesn't even know what is going on in the real world, (meaning New York) some how manages to save Christmas. I must have at least watched that movie ten times! I hope ya'll like my blog and if you haven't seen Elf, I think you know what to do over your Holiday break.
I have no favourite holiday movie but I do have a great winter movie I like. But it is sadly in french it's called La Guerre des tuque. It is about a kid that started a war with snowballs. They would have two team were they battle with throwing snowballs at each other it's a very interesting movie I suggest that other people should watch it to.
I don't normally watch Christmas movies but when I do, I watch things like Elf or The Nightmare Before Christmas and It's A Wonderful Life. I really enjoy it's a wonderful life because of how the main character is shown how if he wasn't born everyone would be worse off. Every Christmas, my family and I go to my grandparents house for a réveillon which means you wait until midnight to get out of bed and go open presents after "Santa" comes.
CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS. CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS. Is the BEST Christmas movie out there. (But let's be honest, all Christmas are good!) I mean obviously I love “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”, and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, and so on, but “Christmas with the Kranks” is definitely my favourite! “Christmas with the Kranks” is my favourite because it’s a funny Christmas movie with a very good lesson. The lesson is to not be selfish and to be thankful for what you have. My family doesn't really have many traditions, but one tradition that we do do every Christmas, is watch “Christmas with the Kranks”. It's just something that we have done every year, and I’m pretty sure that this tradition wonèt stop anytime soon.
My Favorite Christmas movie is Home alone 2. This is my favorite because whenever I watch it the whole family comes and watches it with me, it is also my dad and is favorite movie because of the plan and when they go to get the kid and they keep getting hurt. It sounds mean but watching people in pain (only if it’s fake) makes me laugh. Another tradition is to make Rum Balls and marshmallow log. We also go to my best friend’s house on New Year and stay up with them and their neighbors. This is always my favorite time of year.
OMG that was actually so creepy I hope nobody thinks I'm a serial killer but to be honest I always liked the 2nd one better than the first, maybe just cause he had more traps because it was a much bigger place. I love that type of humor.
My favourite christmas movie is "Elf". It is absolutely hilarious and Will Ferrell just nailed it. My favourite part is when he gets all exited about santa coming and decorates the store like it is the christmas-santa apocalypse. Eating cotton balls, putting maple syrup on pasta, drinking a gallon of coke and drinking coffee, snow ball fights and probably getting rabies from a racoon are absolutely hilarious as well. It is a super festive movie and perfect for the holidays because it also brings a necessary component of christmas, laughter. All holiday movies are great and festive, perfect for christmas.
I LOVE CHRISTMAS MOVIEESSSSSS!!!!! I don't know many of them but I really love home alone 3, elf, and frozen... I like elf because it is a really silly movie and buddy has so much cheer and spirit and it makes me happy. I like home alone because I love watching the kid set up all of the plans, so even if you get past one there's another waiting for you. I also really like frozen because first of all Olaf is adorable and second of all the movie has a really cute storyline thats about sisters and superpowers. Now...it's time for me to be a hater. I really don't like the grinch. I don't even think that i've watched it one complete time ever in my 12 christmases that i've been alive for. Sorry to everyone who actually likes the movie (Claudia) but I just really don't like it. It scares me. A creepy green creature who tries to steal everyone's favourite holiday...no I don't think I get it. I know in the end he becomes nice but still there's just something about it that I really just can't stand. I have a lot of christmas traditions. I get together with family, I eat special foods, I open presents and I give presents. CHRISTMAS IS MY FAVOURITE HOLIDAY EVERRR everyone seems to be more happy and less stressed around christmas and it is just more pleasant than any other time of the year.
There are many Christmas movies, but I have to say that my personal favorite is White Christmas. White Christmas is a movie that was made in 1954 with Bing Crosby. It may seem strange to like a movie that old but I just find that it relaxes me, and gives me a good laugh. Every year, my mother takes it out and she starts to watch it, and I am automatically drawn into the room to watch it too. It has enough comedy to last me a while, and enough sincerity for all the characters in the film. As soon as you watch it, your heart just melts. I know that I will be the only one to say that this is my favorite Christmas movie of all time. I don't really have any traditions though. Other then opening gifts at 7:00 in the morning! Since most of my family lives in North Ontario, we don't get together for the holidays often. This year we are trying for a turkey so I'm hoping if all goes to plan, it'll become our new Christmas tradition.
You people will not understand my love for frozen. How it breaks though peoples expectations, how it changed how Disney does their movies, and it doesn't focus on a prince charming.
It is so confusing and that is why I love it. It is one of the first movies from Disney mainly featuring people that don't have anything to do with true loves kiss.I thought it was amazing how it's a movie actually about connectable touchy subjects, about a family member closing you out of their own lives, the struggles of feeling like a monster and being left out and the freedom they felt when they are alone and free, and their return after knowing you accepted them this whole time.
A lot of people will connect with this in their lives and maybe it already happened for some people in this class.
Whether it's about your orientation, depression, or any other relateable subject just know that there are always people that will accept you for who you are.
Ta-da... and that's why I love frozen so much ,and when I was talking it kind of took an unexpected route and switched directions very quickly so this weeks blog was very weird.XD
My favorite holiday movie is definitely Elf. I think I've been watching it every year, like 3 times, since grade 4. I always watch it with my older cousins, near Christmas. Other times I just watch it on my own time when I'm bored, or when I just want to laugh. It's my favorite holiday movie because of all the funny jokes and puns. I also find it's really funny how an Elf who comes from the North Pole come down to New York city around Christmas time.
My favorite movie of all time has to be Elf. I can't even count how many times I watched it but I still laugh every single time my family and I watch it. I don't exactly know what my favorite part is but I love it when he gets kicked out every time he enters his dad's building where he works. But I also love it when he buys his dad that hilarious gift. My family and I always watch it either on Christmas eve or on Christmas day after we open up our gifts. I love watching it because it always brings a smile on my face and puts me in the holiday spirit!
Every year me and my family get to gether to watch Home alone 2. We always would watch it after my granny famous Christmas dinner. Than about 2 years ago. Fe finally called it a tradition. Most Christmases we usually watch home alone 2, but I feel eventually we will start to watch something else.
It was really hard to pick, and also i'm annoyed that my first copy of this blog was deleted :( but i chose Nightmare before Christmas (not sure if its a christmas movie or a halloween movie) I always love tim burton's films. they are always so heartwarming and lovable. I have a runner up tho, and thats elf because its so funny. One of my holiday traditions is I always go sledding on christmas day. (If we're not busy)
My favorite Christmas movie is Elf because it's makes me laugh every time. My favorite part is when Buddy shows his inner cook and made pasta with candy. I've always wanted to try it!
Every christmas eve my family from my mom's side food come to our house and we would make dinner and we would open gifts. On Christmas day my family would go to my grandmother's house and everyone on my dad's side would be there. We would open gifts and eat lunch and dinner.
