This past weekend, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States of America.

Over the weekend, there were MANY protests, including a massive organized protest by women!

Why were women all across the world protesting?

Women are protesting because they don't have any rights in some countries and in others they have very little. Women are very important in this society they should have equal rights as men do. Just because they did that in the olden days that men have rights and women don't, doesn't mean it is the same now. Women are protesting because they want to make a change and there is nothing wrong with that. Women have done a lot like Mr. Katz said women are very important. Women should be the same it is not fair and Donald Trump is just going to make things worse. It was a bad idea electing him in the first place!! Someone I admire would have to probably be my sister. She has always protected me and I love her so much! #Sis-bond

I can understand why there were so many protests. Half the country didn't vote for him and probably doesn't like him. Especially women. Many people hate Donald Trump for the reason that he sometimes makes rude/racist comments, generally towards women. It's also not just his personality, because many women who are raped and believe in abrogation feel like the should have the right to do what they want with their body, which quite frankly I think makes sense. Women are important for the reason that there are almost just as many women as there are men, without them, well, world would not exist. Women should have the same rights as men, the same education and the same laws as men. Women are important, because as a fact they do better studying, just like you told us, that your wife's law school was 80% women. Obviously someone I admire is my #mom

This past weekend, on the day of the Inauguration, and the days after the ceremony, women all over the world were protesting. One of the main reason’s I believe most women, in the USA, were protesting was because they didn’t want a sexist president to run their country, and it wasn’t just women it was men too. Because most people are against sexism the protests weren’t only in the US, but all over the world! These women were protesting against sexism, the wage gap, Trump for president, and so many more reasons. This protest was definitely against so many reasons and ideas, but they were against them for a reason. Most of these women were protesting against Trump because of his sexism etc.(we all know there are a lot more reasons). They didn’t want a president who was going to sexualize and disrespect them for no reason to run their country, so they protested. Trump is someone who doesn’t admire the important things in life, and women are one of them. Women are definitely important because we are the ones who reproduct, and without women, there would be no way of repopulating. Women are starting to work and most of these women who do work are successful, which influences more women to work and get good careers, to support their family or just themselves. There are many people who admire their moms, wives, sisters etc., which I do to, but I really admire the woman who are making women less vulnerable in today’s world by speaking for all of us. Like Whoopi Goldberg, a motivational speaker for both women and men who support women’s rights. There’s also Amy Poehler, Beyoncé, John Legend and many more. So, yes of course I admire my mom etc.,but the women I admire the most are the women who are making the world better for all women. #GirlLove #AdmireAllWomen

Wow, when you thought the Trump meme could not get any worse. Here it is. I was not very surprised when women where marching down streets because of more very obnoxious and preposterous "Mr. Trump" said. And I see why these women where angry! Trump said extremely bad things about Women for everyone to see! (Be it Twitter, Television, etc) Women in todays world are just as important as men. Though unfortunately some take it a bit to far like feminazis and others. (In my opinion the men in the 1900 gave the men today a bad reputation and now there forming a coup against us) #Mother

Women are protesting because they do not want to go way back in time where they had almost no right at all. Women are very important they are the main production of human beings of our kind. Women are all over the place and if they went back in time they would have to do what they did 150-100 years ago which they don't want to do. (Not part of the blog question but please don't take of marks)--> Everyone thinks that Donald Trump bad when we say the name donald trump we all think of his bad parts. Why don't we think about the good parts like almost got bankrob but came back with no money lost. The problem about donald trump is that you can't tell if he is serious or not (cough cough Mr.Katz) but like he said build a wall he might have been just joking. though he is raist he is different from all everyone because he you can't expect anyone to be perfect.

Boo! Donald Trump was elected and now sworn in as the president. Ms. Beach made my ethics class watch Trump's inauguration. I did not enjoy this. I don't think that the rest of the class did either from what some people told me.
The women were protesting for their rights that they should already have because they fought for this a long time ago. Even the 90 year olds who fought for this during the first world war. They are still fighting for their equal to men rights like equal pay for equal work and access to health care.
I think that women are very important today and we all need both genders to help keep this world together. My mom says that from the looks on her face and her body language, she thinks that Trump's wife is a battered lady. (Plus Trump's wife is like 35 or something and Trump is 71 yeesh)

The women were protesting for rights. Women shouldn't even have to protest because we should have equal rights already. With Trumps attitude towards women I am scared for women's future. It's terrible that in 2017 men have more power then women. Its outrageous. Trump better not screw around and make women worthless. The women I admire is Shoana she is a powerful feminist, teaches sustainability at concordia, runs a small business called "Small Homestead", is my second cousin and someone i look up to. She has done so much for others, animals, and the environment. #Shoana #MakeObamaPrezAgain

The woman were fighting for their rights and to me that shouldn't be happening in the year 2017 because we already went through this a long time ago and we all though it would be over! It still shocks me that still some men believe that women shouldn't have the same rights as men. I just don't understand! Women to me and to a lot of others believe that women could do what men do (job wise) and should get the same rights too. I believe that all people should be treated equally regardless of their gender and race. #mom

I understand why people are protesting against Donald Trump. I also totally understand why women are protesting. A lot of people know what he said about women during the elections, and they just don't like him. The women were protesting because they are afraid of going back 300 years to where women right's didn't exist and don't want anti-immigration. Donald Trump thinks global warming is a myth. Women around the world were also knitting pink cat shaped hats called the "pussy" hats as part of their protest. I even think women are more important than men because they do most of the work in the reproduction process. Without women, no one would be alive. They are also the ones who raise the children. #mymother

The women protested for many years we have made much progress for many years women have fought for women rights and we have made it this far and it's all about to be lost because of Donald Trump. I don't want to grow up without any rights let's just hope he doesn't last president for 8 years. Not many people showed up at his inauguration women these days are extremely important we are definitely smarter than men (just kidding) But we are smarter than they thought in the 2 hundreds we can be whatever we want. My grandmother lived through all of this and she is amazing and I love her so much #ilovemygrandma

I think woman around the world are protesting because they don't want to go back to the past where woman had no rights. Now that Donald Trump is president they are very scared because he does not treat woman as equally as men. Nowadays, they are much better then they were in the past. Obama did all this work to make woman equal and now Trump is bringing all his hard work down. It's not right. I am really MAD at Trump for being against women! The reason why there are a lot of protesters and women protesters is because Trump is against the women and changing how many rights they have. He is taking away there rights! I read a few blogs and some of them said that women do not want to look back in the past and remember how they didn't have rights and I totally agree with them. I think that world now got much better than before. I don't think Trump is going to make America like it was back then, but I do think he is going to make a bad impact on America. Having my mon being a feminist, I learned a lot about women and how men are more powerful than them. I fully support women and girls. #mom #sis

women, men. We aren't the exact same but we are extremely similar. Women's rights are something that people just seem to throw under the rug and some ignorant people just think that because were women that we can't be as strong or smart as men. But guess what they're wrong we can do whatever we put our hearts to. Women are protesting in america because they protested a long time ago and everyone thought all of the fuss was just a dead issue, but little did they know, trump was going to come along and upset half of the population (the ones who didn't vote for him) by making some totally rude remarks about women that obviously aren't true (because girl power...duhh). Women are so important in the world. I'm not just saying this because I am a girl, because I'm pretty sure if I was a boy I would have the same opinion. Women are one of the big reasons why we are all here right now. Without your mom, grandma, and all the women in your life you would not be reading my blog right...NOW. Also I know that it is not always the case, but in my family my mom does most all of the cooking, vacuuming etc. Don't get me wrong my dad does help, but this time around it's about my mom, and all the women across the globe. Women protested for their comfort, security and hope. Having a president who states that women bodies are just objects for men is not at all an acceptable sign. Some people don't know this (I am talking about Trump), but, women are not objects, especially not for men. Women have rights for themselves and can have just as much hope, power, strength, courage, confidence and bravery as men. They have boundaries and insecurities just like all men except for one, Donald Trump.
Women have done so many great thing over the centuries. Invented things, discovered things, changed things around the world for the good, kept the human race alive and yet they are not treated as well as men. If you really think about it, if you go back in time and take away a married man's wife, he will have nothing. No dinner, no company, no family and maybe he will no longer have the will to live. Women do lots of things and that is just to name a few.
I want to thank my mom and my oma (grandmother in german) for teaching me how to speak german, climb a tree, jump a fence, climb a stainless steal swing set, backflip on a trapeze and do long division. Those are things I could live without. I would really like to thank them for teaching me how to stand up for myself, deal with a bad situation, never give up and to reach for the stars. I'm still in shock that Donald Trump won... I was Bernie Sanders all the way. Then when he was eliminated I WAS VOTING FOR Hilary Clinton. I am furious that Trump is taking away woman rights to vote. We are all humans like seriously. Like if there are no woman then there no kids so everybody would die and that's it. So I thank all ladies in the world but especially my grandmother and mom

I believe that women are protesting for the inauguration of trump because. Trump thinks women are not equal as men. He thinks that women are toys that you can push around. I personally think that trump is very disrespectful towards women from inappropriate posts on twitter, to walking in on young girls chaining, I think that women are very important obviously for continuing the human race but they are also there to teach you many skills, such as, organisation, manners and lots more. One women that i admire the most is Alessia Cara because she makes records on teaching girls to accept who they are, and not to pretend to be someone who there not because they are afraid of getting judge.#Alessiacara

Women were protesting this past weekend because right now men have more power than women, which is so unfair. They were fighting for their rights. I think this is wrong because this is how it was a while back and everyone thought now finally women and men were equal. Well let’s just say that’s not how it went. We are trying to move forward, but the few sexist people in the world, a.k.a Donald Trump, are making it really hard to move forward. Women are very important today. They are equally as important as men. We are human, just like men. We do a lot of the same things as men, but now because we are female, OF COURSE we are treated different. I wish I could explain why, but I can’t. Someone I look up to is definitely @mystepmom because she has taught me so much, and given me such good advice in hard times, I wish I could give back to her, but I would never be able to thank her in 100, 000 years. I’ve only known her since I was 4, and I see her every second weekend, but I love the time I spend with her.

Women are across the world are protesting for their equal rights. Yes, most North Americans are protesting because of Trump however, many are just simply fighting back so they can show that men and women are equals. Women are extremely important in our economy and society today. With out women scientists, engineers and doctors, there would not be a whole lot to prove that the human race is indeed intelligent. Take Amelia Earhart for example, she was told she could not fly because of her gender. Yet that definitely didn't stop her. Another great example would be Marie Curie, with out her we would not have radium or polonium on our periodic table. So many women have inspired me today, to inspire so many others out there. It could be someone many people know, or someone close to there heart and lives under the same roof as I do. Thanks to all you amazing women!

Women are so powerful and strong and as a girl I know how its like to be treated lower than boys because its happened to me many times by other boys like for example “you play like a girl” or “i can beat her, she's only girl”. I loose my mind when i hear things like this, it makes me so angry! If i lived-in america i would be protesting too, Donald trump has sexually harassed multiple women, and he treats them like nothing, like were not worth anything, weaker, dumber, not good enough, slower. All of these adjectives are not true, women are not around to just dress all pretty and do nothing, NO I believe women are just as powerful as boys are if not more and are very capable. I have so much emotion for this topic i don't even no where to begin. The point is i don't want to be treated lesser then any guy i want to grow up and show younger girls just as much potential and capability that they have and are born to let shine. It might not ever get easier for girls and people like Donald trump are just there to get our way and my way, nothing is going to stop me from doing what want to do, just watch me…

Women are protesting against trump because he is one of the most sexist (and racist) men alive. He lied in his debate about never bragging about grabbing woman by…you know what, when there was a clear recording of him saying it. Women are the same as men; humans with feelings and that should deserve equal rights. All trump thinks of women are sex slaves. women deserve all the same rights as men. #MyMom
