I have and had some pretty great teachers over the years. I have to say though, only a couple stand out to me. I will be discussing one of my all time favorite teachers, Ms.Henderson. (No hard feelings Mr. Katz). Ms. Henderson was my fifth grade teacher and she opened me up to a bunch of new things. She got me into writing stories, despite the fact I had a passion to write for years. She also was not afraid of certain subjects to discuss. Whether it was politics, high school or even puberty! In her class I read Macbeth, won a national poetry competition, raised monarch butterflies and even wrote a good lengthy story. She is one of my most memorable teachers and luckily, since my brother still goes to that school, I can still see her when I go to pick him up. Happy Teacher's Appreciation Week!
In this blog, I am going to write about some teachers that are not in St-Thomas to not hurt anyones feelings. (And they were also very nice). The teacher from my old school (Dorset elementary) Was probably my music teacher Mrs. Brock. She was always enthusiastic about the musicals and plays we would preform. She would put so much effort into these plays and they would almost always turn out to be awesome. And the people in my class at the time liked to talk a lot and not listen but she still made it work! That is something I can appreciate.
I think the best teacher I have ever encounter in my entire life is (Drum roll please) Mr. Kat.... I mean Mme. Tadros. She unlike other understand kids feeling kind Mr. Katz but most of all she like me the most out of the whole class she would always be there for the class and everyone in it she was my fifth grade french teacher. She would always make jokes and my class had so much fun though she can get very mean at times kind of like Ms. Fabes but a lot nicer she is still the best teacher I have encountered out of all the teachers I have meet. I know that the topic is best teacher but I do have a worst teacher ever. I hated the teacher so much I don't even know the teachers name she is (Drum roll please) Mr. Ka.... Oh wait I don't know her name. She was my grade 3 french teacher she always hated me once someone did a project and did bad and replaced it with another one and got a better mark. But when I did the same thing she just yelled at me and said you are not allowed to do that. From that day on I hate her with the demon's soul.
Thanks you for reading, Yu Hua Jason Yang ##ππππππ
I've noticed no one else has said it yet, so I have to say my favourite teacher is Mr. Ka………putnik. Just kidding. I don't know anyone with that name. I can't decide my FAVOURITE favourite so I'm going to put a list of my top 5 teacher and some info:
1. (Someone had to say it) Mr Katz : A fun bald english teacher 2. M. Geraud aka G-rod : A fast talking french teacher 3. M. Dubois : A science teacher with a dash of oregano 4. Mrs. Sheppard : My grade 6 english teacher who laughed a lot 5. Mme. Carrie : My grade 6 french teacher who laughed a lot (Honorable mention : Mrs. Wendy : My grade 4 english teacher who didn't laugh a lot.
Over the years, all of us have had so many teachers, and for me, 2 out of ALL of my teachers really stand out. The first one is Ms.D, as my class would call her. At first glance, she looks like grumpy, strict old woman, who wears WAAAAAYYYYY too much perfume, and most of those things are true, but that’s not why I’m talking about her. I’m talking about her because she was probably one of the best teachers I will ever have. Last school year, when I walked into my homeroom, I thought “Great. The new teacher, who’s gonna be strict, and mean. Who’s gonna be grumpy 24/7 and will never have any meaningful conversations!”, little did I know that would be the complete opposite. She was nice and laughed with us a lot! Of course she wasn’t the happiest from time to time, but everyone is like that. She helped me understand things in math A LOT better, and from February, of last year, to the last day of school in June, she gave my class the BEST black history unit that anyone could’ve ever had. She made us feel how African-American’s were treated. Not physically, but emotionally. She taught us everything there was to learn about black history. When Matthew and Julia Talked about Emmett Till, I immediately thought about Ms. D, because she had already told us all about that story. She made us watch movies and showed us real photos from the newspaper in the 60’s. All in all, she was probably the best teacher I could ever ask for, except of course for my music teacher, Ms. Keiser. Ms. Keiser was the teacher that made you look forward to class. She taught me how to play the violin and helped me and my friends out with our singing (AKA St Paul Quartet, lol St. Paul kids will know what I mean!!). She was so good at teaching us, that now, it makes the St. Thomas music program seem lousy, and boring (sry Ms. Miller!). With Ms. Keiser, we learned all about theory, which made us play our instruments easier. She was great, and she didn’t just help us with music, she helped us with everything. If you needed someone to talk to about something you could go to her. So what I’m saying is that she was just absolutely amazing! Both of these teachers were great, and I guess what I’m trying to say to them, is, well, thank you! Thank You, for all the hard work, and determination you put into us learning. Thank You, for opening all kinds of different opportunities for us. Thank You, for not giving up on us, and always believing in us. Thank You, Ms. D, and Ms. Keiser, for everything you’ve ever done. Thank You.
I have had some awesome teachers over the years but my ultimate time favourite teacher would have to be my grade 5 English teacher, Ms. McNally. She was awesome!!! (No offence Mr. Katz). She was the teacher who got me into one of my many favourite things which is writing stories. She also got me into math. She was great. Once, me and my friend Aysha went to a tutorial after school because we didn't understand something. She had a whole pillow case full of chocolates and candies and we ate the whole thing that tutorial. She used it mostly for examples of stuff in math. At the end when we had to go, she said exactly this. "Don't tell your parents". I still never told them until this day. Well, not anymore because they just checked what I was doing and they caught me saying the whole story on this blog soooooooooooo... I guess now they know. It was a secret up until this day. I think I probably ate about 30 chocolates and 20 candies. It was the best experience I've ever had with a teacher. Sorry again Mr. Katz. Maybe if you give us chocolate and candies and a lot of it (hint hint), you will be my ultimate time favourite teacher. And to the whole class too. Well, my ultimate favourite teacher Ms. McNally was quite something. If it weren't for her, I would of been lost my whole life.
Two teachers I appreciated was my second and third grade teacher named Ms. Arcamone she taught in my elementary school named Kingsdale and still teaching now. She makes me laugh and every time I walk into her class I smile. She was my math teacher and I sometimes have trouble with problems and she would help me every time. Another teacher I appreciate is Mr.Katz he is also a really funny teacher. All these projects that we work on gets me really confused, but Mr.Katz is their to help me!! At the end of the class I'm at the same level as everyone else. He also does so many fun things like the time we did the Ulysses trial and the MSND project. He puts so much hard work just so that he sees us smile. Thank you Mr.Katz for everything!!!!
I appreciate all my teachers or at least most of them, but there were 3 that really stood out for me the 3 teachers are mr Crawford, ms Acamone and obviously me Katz. I really liked mr. Crawford because he was really great at teaching physical education and he always made it really fun. Even though phys ed is my favourite subject, mr Crawford really raised the bar. Ms. Arcomone is the sweetest teacher, she made learning so fun. We always did such amazing projects with her, one including we even got to take her classroom pet fish home with us, which was considered pretty lit in grade 3. Last but certainly not least, Mr Katz, I'm not just putting this teacher down because it's his blog but I am putting them down because he's super funny and he makes me look forward to going to English class because he makes learning so much fun. I really enjoy all the class projects is that we do I've learned so much and it's only my first year of high school. I really hope is that I have Mr Katz next year.
My favorite teacher I ever had was probably my fifth grade english/math teacher named Mr. Rourke. He liked hockey and he knew that I played it so he would always asked about my hockey games over the weekend. Also I would always complain and he would listen to everything I say!!! Also he was in charge of all the plays and variety shows and it was really cool! I would go visit him this year but he retired. (Also Mr. Katz your good too)
My favorite teacher would have to be Mrs. White. She would bring so much enthusiasm and kindness to our classroom. Mrs. White was my first, third, and sixth grade teacher. She was always so positive and open minded. She would set a nice vibe to our classroom meaning that she would be strict but let us have fun. She wanted us to work on our talents and express ourselves as much as we possibly could in our classroom. She is amazing and is definitely someone I look up to. You are also awesome Mr. Katz.
Actually, Mr. Katz you are a very good teacher and probably one of my favourites. I also really like G-ROD just like Keva and maybe also some others. Mr. Katz is a very good teacher because he is always ready to help and up to date on everything (technology and more). No hint needed Mr. Katz; it's really fun being in your class and you are probably always gonna be my #numero_uno_teacher!!!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a lot of amazing and great teachers in the past years of my school life, but there are only a few more hat really stood out to me. The teachers that was really nice and who are one of my favourite, is Ms. Green and Mr. Robin. Mr. Robin had a sad past though. Last year when I had him, he got abused and punched by a parent! He didn't go back to school for the rest of the year because he was so traumatized until the last day to surprise us. He was fun and nice. Any how, my other great teacher that I had is Ms. Green. She was the best storyteller ever! She was so good hat the school had to call her in multiple times after she retired. I actually had her during her last year teaching. She was fun and made everyone happy! Wait. I have one last one. Last but not least... Mr. Katz! Honestly, Mr. Katz, you are one of my favourite teachers because you make everyone have fun in your class. Some kids actually have fun in school thanks to you.
I have 3 teaches I want to talk about. The first one being my 3rd grade teacher called Ms Fran (Francine) she was probably one of the nicest most caring people I've ever met. She actually won an award for like best teacher and had her picture in the newspaper. Sadly she got very sick and died a couple of years ago and its a real shame because she was a very good person.rip. Second is Ms Keiser, she was my favourite music teacher of all time. She was very patient and was very good at teaching people music for the first time and making class fun. Last but not least Mme Sullivan. She was my teacher in grades 1 and 2 she was pretty much the perfect teacher. We did activities for poor people in her class and so much more. She always said hi to me in the hallways and she really understood me. Obviously I have a lot of other amazing teachers like mr Dubois because hes nice, and roasts kids, mr Katz because he knows a lot about technology and mr Genge because he's absolutely hilarious, but those are the ones that stick I my mind and that will always have a special place in my heart.
I think the teacher I appreciated the most since I started school is a teacher that we called Mrs.K. She was my grade four teacher. She was probably the best teacher I had in elementary school. She was always so nice to us (not that Mr.Katz isn’t nice). Every once in awhile we would play games to earn candy and for homework she would always give us tongue twisters and brainbusters. I liked the way she taught us. She made things easy to understand and was very patient. She had to leave us early because she was going to have a baby and then we were stuck with a substitute teacher for a couple of months. What was really funny was that she was also called Mrs.K.
I'm not just writing this to get extra marks(hint hint) but my favorite teacher is Mr.Katz because you're unlike any other teacher I have ever had because you do things so differently like example you had a trial on Ulysses, any other teacher would have just given us a test on it. So I love the way you teach and please don't change it.
I am believe in astrology very much and therefor, I always have two side, hence why I have two favourite teachers. They are Mr. Katz and M. Dubois. Mr. Katz is one of my two favourite teachers because when I enter his classroom, I know class will be fun and my fellow classmates will probably crack a few joke because my teacher lets them have fun. Mr. Katz also makes his class a comfortable learning environment and a great class to learn about computers and modern technology. I know I will be prepared for when I have to do some crazy computer engineering for someone in need and that by the time I graduate high school, I will not be turned to a statue of boredom. I am always told to do my best in this class but also to have fun and not drown in homework everyday. This is why Mr. Katz is one of my two favourite teachers.
My other favourite teacher is M. Dubois. He is one of my favourite teachers because he also makes class time fun and is really just too easy going to get mad at us. He just sits at his desk and dreams about how much money he is making doing absolutely nothing. Other than that, with my class, he probably has a list of inside jokes able to stretch around the earth a gazillion times. He always encourages me to do my best and also encourages me to (next year) try out for the school hockey team even though I am a little nervous and shy. I am really not the best hockey player but he needs more girls on the ice and he wants to see that I can make the team even if I don't think I can. That is why M. Dubois is one of my two favourite teachers.
Note: I am grateful for all my high school teachers because they really made me feel comfortable in the new school and help me with the transition. I am so glad to have all the teachers that I have. Thank You!
I think my favourite teacher who I appreciate so much would have to be Mme.Coutu she is so nice and sweet. I don't think she has ever been mean to anyone. One of my favourite things she does is how she lets us finish homework the day it is so if for some reason we did not finish. So I would like to give thanks and appreciate my History and Geography teacher Mme.Coutu for being and amazing awesome super cool teach during appreciation week.
I really appreciate my music teacher because she pushes us hard and I know its not because she's mean it's because she wants us to succeed. It makes people better if their teacher's are more strict. It makes people slack off of their teachers don't really care and keep pushing back time for submitting something(hint-hint). not to be mean but it's just some constructive criticism.
Well I have 3 teachers that I just can't pick a favorite! My first teacher that I am going to talk about is obviously Mr. Katz. I love Mr. Katz he is always so nice and sweet to me and doesn't give much homework! My second teacher is Mr. Genge he is so cool and funny and makes class an enjoyment and it goes by so fast! Finally my third teacher I am going to talk about is Mme. Coutu because she is really sweet but also really fun. Like once I forgot something at my house that was due that day and she said that she trusted me and to bring it in tomorrow.
Over the years of school I've picked up a quite the list of teachers who I like, and who I just cant stand. But since this is about teacher appreciation, let's focus on the positive side. Of course the teacher I'm going to be writing about is Mr.Katz. I mean who wouldn't want a fun teacher that makes jokes and does online work rather than the good ol' days with pencil and paper. I mean what teacher do you know let's you do a video project, a trial, and a BREAKOUT game as a test. I think everyone is missing out if they don't have him.
I think that Mr. Katz is one of the best teachers that I've had. Mr. Katz is a great teacher because he uses a different method of teaching, when he is teaching he makes us develop are elf management, organisation and open minded skills.Ex. he will give us a protected due the next day, or a protected that requires having only a limited amount of words on each slide. Another reason why he is a great teacher is because he always works really hard when he is making are tests, on are latest test, there were a lot of unnecessary details that Mr. Katz still donated his time to create . I wist that more teachers would be a lot more like Mr. Katz .
ReplyDeleteHappy Teacher's Appreciation Week!

ReplyDeleteI also said that Mme. Coutu was one of my favorite teachers! Great blog Michaela.
DeleteI really appreciate my music teacher because she pushes us hard and I know its not because she's mean it's because she wants us to succeed. It makes people better if their teacher's are more strict. It makes people slack off of their teachers don't really care and keep pushing back time for submitting something(hint-hint). not to be mean but it's just some constructive criticism.
ReplyDeleteWell I have 3 teachers that I just can't pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteOver the years of school I've picked up a quite the list of teachers who I like, and who I just cant stand.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree
DeleteI think that Mr. Katz .
