There will only be ONE (1) blog this week!

The SuperBowl was played lover the weekend between the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots.  There are MANY football fans who love watching the game, however, many people watch SuperBowl for the halftime show (Lady Gaga) or the awesome commercials.

Why do you watch SuperBowl? Is it for the game, half-time show or commercials? Explain.

If you do not watch SuperBowl, how do you spend super Sunday? Explain.

  1. Well for starters, I only watch the game on a Canadian station, so I never get to see the really cool commercials. Second of all, I do mostly watch it for the half time show. I mean, I do indeed watch the game and I do go crazy if one of th eayers make an awesome kick. However, most of the times I just sit down and watch the game with my dad and I only start to truly watch it when it's half time. I thought Lady Ga Ga did a good job however, I do feel that Beyoncé did do a better job performance wise. Now, this is just an opinion and it depends. Beyoncé did a great job performance wise but Lady Ga Ga was great with her vocals. Other then the half time show, I did watch the game. My dad and I even made a bet about who would win. Well, I was winning up until the fact that the Patriots came and scored. So I lost, but that doesn't matter anyways, we weren't betting money. In the end Go Patriots!

    4. Why would you even say ! Atlanta has never recently been qualified for the super bowl and they came really close to smoking the Patriots. I think Atlanta really deserved to win this one.

  3. For starters great win Patriots!!!!! I am not reallly interested in the Super Bowl but my dad kept me update of what was happening. If you watch CTV they give you ten minutes to text a word on the screen to have a chance to win prizes. My dad and I were really anxious if his name will be called. I saw bits of pieces of the half time show but from what I heard it was a great show. While I was in my room my dad told me the Falcons were winning 28-3 and that the game was almost over. After that I went to sleep. Next morning when I woke up, my dad told me the big news and I flipped it was the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history and the first Super Bowl that ever went to overtime! I was shocked and this made me really interested in seeing it next year!!
    Thank you

Because I didn't watch the super bowl because I was playing video game with my friends from elementary school. But this year I really wanted to watch the super bowl but my BROTHER IS TAKING OVER THE TV! So I just played game with my friends.

  6. First of all, I hate football. I know what a shock!(but honestly if you’re shocked you obviously haven’t met me!) I don’t know what it is, I just find it really, really, really, REALLLLLY boring, and long, hence why I don’t watch. Why do they even call it the “Superbowl”? When I hear Superbowl, I actually think of a super bowl. As in a really big bowl! When my dad is watching the Superbowl, I usually try to finish homework at last minute, or do whatever I want.(because I have no idea what I do every Sunday, IT CHANGES!) The only time that I actually do watch the Superbowl, I watch it for the halftime show, and then I’m out of that room faster than humanly possible for me! Oh and can I just say, Lady Gaga starting on top of the roof...legendary.

  7. I find football boring so I don't spend much time watching it. My super bowl Sunday consisted me cramming my homework last minute and studying for a history test. When I was finished I did my normal night routine which consists of mainly watching Shane Dawson and Face Timing Julia V. All and all my super bowl Sunday was boring.

  8. I didn't watch the Superbowl on Sunday because, I mean, there's absolutely no point. I don't get it, I am always doing homework last minute so I have no time, and how am I supposed to watch it and enjoy it when I have absolutely no clue what's going on. I've heard a few things about Lady Gaga with her amazing performance but, that's practically all I know about it. The Patriots won and well, ya.Not sure if it's good or bad because I have no clue what football is. Anyways, I would rather sleep than watch something on TV I don't understand. SLEEP IS BAE!!!!!

  9. I can't really say much. I didn't watch it because my dad says it's fake football and I was busy all weekend. I did see a couple of the commercials like the 84 lumber add with the wall which had a door. I also saw Melissa McCarthy being Sean Spicer and also clinging to a tree. Anyways I don't care about the New-England Patriots or the Atlanta Falcons playing a game of football. Sorry, but: I DON'T CARE!

  10. I didn't watch the super bowl but I was listening I did watch the half time show as I usually do. I actually went to watch this game at my cousins house and I usually watch the super bowl but the kids didn't want to so I had to take care of them. My father and I made a bet and u was right because the Patriots did win. The one thing I love is all the FOOD all the Italien dishes and Mexican food and poutine. You will never see me missing out on the super bowl feast. So my favorite thing isn't the commercials or the half time show, my favorite thing is the food

  11. I do not play football competitively like in a league, but I would like to. However, I do love to watch football mainly if one of my favourite team is playing or if it is the playoffs. I always watch the Super Bowl. I don't watch the Super Bowl for the halftime or the commercials. I come to watch the big game! Anyhow, I do think that the commercials are interesting but the half time show is not really something too big. I wasn't really cheering for any team, it is just that I do not like the Patriots so I cheered for the Falcons and also I really like Matt Ryan a.k.a. Matty Ice! Super bowl is amazing!

  14. Usually on super bowl sunday, my family doesn't do much because were not big football fans. I actually like pretty much all sports so I've been wanting to learn the rules to football so I could actually know what's going on for once. But football is just one of those things that no one could explain to me...just like chess. But this year my mom taught me the basic rules and now I could definitely consider myself as a double football threat?!! (soccer and actual football) just kidding I would probably suck. To be honest I was actually supposed to be studying for a science test that night, but I was way too into the game (thank god the test didn't actually happen on monday). I really enjoyed the half time show and I think that lady gaga did a great job! Also, the commercials where cool and weird as usual. Anyways for once I can say, I'm actually excited to watch the super bowl next year (unless I forget the rules...)

  15. I personally love whatching all the sports, I find it very entertaining. Especially when it's a game like the super bowl, who knew that game would be so entertaining, what a come back. I would say my favourite part Is whatching the game because I'm a big sports fan, however the half time show and commercials are super entertaining as well. I DEFFINETLY enjoyed that game and the shows.

  16. About watching the Super Bowl, I am not a big football fan, or not really a football fan in general. I don't even really know how the game works! But the Super Bowl is a big things, and the half time show is very fun to watch. I personally really enjoyed the super bowl 49 show with Bruno Mars and this years Lady Gaga show. (The super bowl 50 show was not great in my opinion). EVERYONE (kind of) watches the super bowl, which makes it a great opportunity for advertisements. So companies make their ads extra fun and entertaining, thats why i also love the ads during the super bowl.

  17. I really like watching football, but it takes a bit too long. After about 5 minutes I lost interest. I decided I would do something productive in my room like watch youtube. When the half time show comes, I need to watch it. I always love to see it because, for my brother, its an excuse to watch a football field covered in god knows what. When I watch it, he is all like "Hey, I thought you hated football!!! Leave!!!" and I have to tell him to get a life. Other than the half time show, I really like being allowed to eat a single diorite chip. On the complete other end of the table, I am forced to socialize. I love my family and all but they can be pretty stubborn (like me). My aunt just got an iPhone so I had to teach her how to use it and explain that in hockey we don't have levels 1, 2, 3 etc. I also have to explain that I can read some pretty harsh books and not just "Story Time with Elsa and Anna" and that I don't watch "Bubble Guppies". That was my super bowl Sunday. It was a lot of fun and I can never wait for the next year to come.

  19. My family and I aren't football fans and so we definitely didn't watch the Super Bowl (ironic, though, I was actually born on Super Bowl Sunday). Instead we spent part of our morning doing chores and fooling around. I've been saving my money for a while now to buy a laptop-and that's exactly did later on in the day. When we got home, I spent the rest of the day playing with my new toy. I really wanted a computer of my own because my dad has our family computer hooked up to the television instead of a monitor. When I'm using it for my homework, everybody's rushing me off so they can watch tv. My brother and my sister can get really loud too, so being able to use the laptop in my room really helps, I can do my homework in peace and quiet with out anyone disturbing me. I LOVE my new laptop-I'm so glad we ent shopping on Sunday.

  20. Although I'm not a massive football fan, I won't ever miss the Super Bowl. I can't pick one thing I like about the Super Bowl, for example the game, the commercials or for the half time show. Its everything together, plus having a Super Bowl party which makes the Super Bowl fun to watch. But I know my Dad watches it for the game, my mom for the half time show and my sister for the commercials and for Lady Gaga. This year was quite the show, a 25 point comeback that never happened in Super Bowl history! What a game this year, looking forward to next year!

  21. I hate football. I know the super bowl is like awesome for some people and stuff, but I just don’t get it. I’m not interested in watching boys run across a field holding a football. My mom and sister are the same. We don’t really watch hockey either. I know the half time show is usually fun to see, but we didn’t watch the game so we kind of forgot about it, and weren’t all that interested in seeing it. My super Sunday wasn’t all that super, it was pretty boring. I pretty much did some homework, and packed my suitcase because I am going away next week. Honestly, I had a normal Sunday night.

  22. My family and I aren't very big football fans but we do watch it but just for the half time show. This years was really good Lady Gaga could really put on a show! But other years when I didn't watch the Superbowl for the half time show I was either doing homework or watching TV. Honestly its not much of a super Sunday for me its more like a normal Sunday.

  23. I don't watch the Super Bowl the main reason is because I have no idea how football works. The only thing I see about the super bowl is the half time show. There are usually pictures of the singers on instagram. This year there were a bunch of memes about lady gaga entering from the ceiling. On Sunday I did what I normally do stay in bed and watch Netflix which in my opinion is more entertaining then the Super Bowl.

  24. I don't really watch the super bowl or the half-time show, although sometimes i watch some of the half-time show. I prefer to just spend my time at home, or play at my friends house. When i was younger, my dad usesd to sbeak me in the bar to watch wityh him, and it was boring. it smelled like beer. Now, i'm not so interested in football anymore.
